Ocean Shield- Searching for MH370
Ocean Shield at the Sydney Navy Yard
Currently… somewhere thousands of miles off the south west coast of Australia, is the crashed/missing/magically vanished Malaysia Air flight 370. Now that the search area is somewhat more narrowed down, the hunt for the “black box” flight recorders is on. Also, somewhere off the SW coast of Australia is the ADV Ocean Shield…. looking for the box. The Shield, a 350 ft. Australian research vessel, has all sorts of fun toys to employ in the search.
This shot was taken in December of 2012 on a Nikon D800. The 4 separate shots were hand blended in Photoshop to make a 88 MP panoramic. In addition to other Australian Navy vessels, the Shield is on the left. Happy Hunting.
